Some of you know that Jimmy recently was hospitalized for some serious injuries. Read or contribute here or here.

Jimmy Levan is not only a midschool legend, he's a rider who still continues to ride hard and go big. Anyone see the Ride poster of that parking lot gap into the bank? Or watch him on the first Road Fools? Or the Metal Bikes videos? If not, check that out. Watching him ride will still blow your brains out.

This thread is for the infamous Jimmy Levan ad from December 1992 that sparked the Not Jimmy Levan spoof ad by Homeless followed by more goof ads that continued well into 93 by virtually every company around at the time. I only have a few so if you have others please throw em up on here!

I remember when that huge Ride poster came out with Jimmy doing that huge drop off.... I actually emailed him.. he wrote me back,, telling me all about the jump.. little details and stuff. It was very interesting and cool he took the time to write me back with all that info... He's stoke... for sure..

That's the one.

I change my mind. It's not that big.

Tuesday I was out gettin' my" street on" here in Austin and I rolled up on the " Church Gap" that Jimmy had done in Road Fools 1. It's looks big in the video, but to actually see it in person is unreal! Since then, one other person has made it. And it just so happens that guy won the R.O.C., in 26-30 cruiser today!
With as many street spots there are here in Austin and the amount of riders that ride them, the "Church Gap" is always untouched. And to me that is just a compliment of how much of a killer person/rider Jimmy is.
Man i'm gonna miss him at the Jackolope ths winter.

i am going to donate.. but i need to know what happened too..
I cant say jimmy is a friend of mine.. but Jimmy WAS a friend of mine....
a lowly beginner, then novice.. my first race was a practice gate against his sister in Louisville....
He taught me how to loosen up... how to jump.. how to make it over the doubles etc....
many local races and riding in the neighborhood..... a few nationals hanging out....he is good people.. but what happened...
and thanks for the heads up and links....

Jimmy is an awesome dude and everyone should help him out if they can. He was seriously injured in a skateboarding accident while on an Odyssey filming trip. You can read all about at...
